  8. Educational game for testing and improving your child's "cultural literacy."
  9. Two levels of play. At Novice level, the game is suitable for students sixth
  10. grade and up. At Advanced level, the game is a challenge for adults! Topics
  11. include proverbs, idioms, grammar, children's literature, mythology, music,
  12. art, philosophy, the Bible, world religions, American history & geography,
  13. world history & geography, science & technology, medicine, and mathematics.

  15. The program displays a randomly chosen topic on the screen, and players respond
  16. by typing in a free-format description of anything they know about the topic.
  17. The program monitors the players' responses and awards points when it decides
  18. that the players have demonstrated a genuine level of familiarity with the
  19. chosen material. A model response is presented, and the program goes on to the
  20. next topic. As the game progresses, players pass humorous milestones of
  21. achievement as they break records set by imaginary players of ages past.

  24. games. Time-outs of indefinite length are provided with the game clock stopped
